You, sometimes you think you’re so clever and witty. “How about I do X. That’ll be original and witty and confrontational and a little bit cheeky, etc.” Cue the golden rule:

… how do you start a blog? We’ve all read our share of blogs, from comedy to techie to sporty to serious, but how many times have you been in it from start? Me neither. Hence current salutationary quandary.

It’s just a first few lines to get the ball rolling, you say … but still, don’t want to start off too cute or clichéd … hell, I’m even putting the accent in ‘clichéd’ now, definitely time to stop
